New Twitter Feature allows you to know which tweet is interesting for your friends.

The Micro blog Twitter had released two new features the the Twitter.com web interface.

You can now see when someone favorites or retweets one of your Tweets. You can also learn which Tweets are most interesting and inspiring to the people you follow.

The @mentions tab will be replaced with @yourusername tab. And, this tab will give lot of details such as @mentions, list of people who retweeted your tweets, list of people who favorited your tweets, list of people who followed you, list of people who added you in a list.

And, “Retweets” tab will be replaced by “Activity” tab. It provides a rich new source of discovery by highlighting the latest Favorites, Retweets, and Follows from the people you follow on Twitter in single place.

And, note that Twitter had released Photo uploading feature few days back. So, we need not use third-party apps such as Twitpic for sending photos/pictures thro’ Twitter.

Since Twitter becomes competition to Twitpic, it seems Twitpic owner Navoh Everett is trying to be a Twitter Competitor by launching a Twitter Challenger “Heello”.

My Heello Id is rajamanickam.

Facebook Denies the Rumors about Phone Contacts visibility.

Social Media company Facebook had clarified that Facebook is NOT sharing the user’s phone contacts to the entire world.

Read below the Facebook updates of Facbook.

Rumors claiming that your phone contacts are visible to everyone on Facebook are false. Our Contacts list, formerly called Phonebook, has existed for a long time. The phone numbers listed there were either added by your friends themselves and made visible to you, or you have previously synced your phone contacts with Facebook. Just like on your phone, only you can see these numbers.

Facebook isn’t known for having the best privacy and security practices in the business. That’s why many users believed that Facebook had shared their contacts with anyone on Facebook.

Facebook Messenger App. for iPhone and Android.

Facebook had released a mobile app “Facebook Messenger”
which allow iPhone and Android mobile users to send instant messages to individuals and to groups.

The app is free, available for the iPhone through the App Store, and for Android via the Android Market.

Messenger is a separate app, so it only takes one click to get to your messages or send a new one. Messages are delivered through notifications and texts, so your friends are more likely to get them right away.

You can use Messenger to reach all of your friends — whether they’re on Facebook or in your phone contacts. All you have to do is type the person’s name.

The Messenger app is an extension of Facebook messages, so all your conversations are in one place, including your texts, chats, emails and messages. Whether you’re on your phone or on the web, you can see the full history of all your messages.

Group conversations make it easy to message everyone at once and see where your friends are.

If you don’t want to share your location, you can turn off it by one click.

The new standalone Messenger software is a cornerstone for Facebook’s ambition to become the communications hub on phones.

Apple plans to bundle a mobile app called iMessage into iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, which can bypass cell carrier infrastructure granting free text messages to other users of Apple devices.

Similarly, Research in Motion(RIM) has BlackBerry Messenger (BBM). And Google provides two services: Huddles, which is part of the Google+ social network, and Google Voice.

Will Facebook be destroyed on November 5th?

Attention citizens of the world,

We wish to get your attention, hoping you heed the warnings as follows:
Your medium of communication you all so dearly adore will be destroyed. If you are a willing hacktivist or a guy who just wants to protect the freedom of information then join the cause and kill facebook for the sake of your own privacy.

Facebook has been selling information to government agencies and giving clandestine access to information security firms so that they can spy on people from all around the world. Some of these so-called whitehat infosec firms are working for authoritarian governments, such as those of Egypt and Syria.

Everything you do on Facebook stays on Facebook regardless of your “privacy” settings, and deleting your account is impossible, even if you “delete” your account, all your personal info stays on Facebook and can be recovered at any time. Changing the privacy settings to make your Facebook account more “private” is also a delusion. Facebook knows more about you than your family. http://www.physorg.com/news170614271.html http://itgrunts.com/2010/10/07/facebook-steals-numbers-and-data-from-your-iphone/

You cannot hide from the reality in which you, the people of the internet, live in. Facebook is the opposite of the Antisec cause. You are not safe from them nor from any government. One day you will look back on this and realise what we have done here is right, you will thank the rulers of the internet, we are not harming you but saving you.

The riots are underway. It is not a battle over the future of privacy and publicity. It is a battle for choice and informed consent. It’s unfolding because people are being raped, tickled, molested, and confused into doing things where they don’t understand the consequences. Facebook keeps saying that it gives users choices, but that is completely false. It gives users the illusion of and hides the details away from them “for their own good” while they then make millions off of you. When a service is “free,” it really means they’re making money off of you and your information.

Think for a while and prepare for a day that will go down in history. November 5 2011, #opfacebook . Engaged.

This is our world now. We exist without nationality, without religious bias. We have the right to not be surveilled, not be stalked, and not be used for profit. We have the right to not live as slaves.

We are anonymous
We are legion
We do not forgive
We do not forget
Expect us

Do you believe that the Facebook will be destroyed on November 5th?
You can take this poll.
