U.S President Barack Obama delivered his farewell address to the American People from Chicago on Tuesday (10th January 2017), returning to the city he calls his hometown and the place where he celebrated his presidential election victories in 2008 and 2012.
Barack Obama rose to power as the U.S’s first African American president with message of hope and boundless optimism for the future.
After eight years of preaching change and hope, Mr Obama ended his leadership with an urgent and fearful warning about the state of American democracy.
Obama was crying when talking about his wife Michelle Obama and his daughters.
About 18,000 people attended the Obama’s Farewell address at McCormick Place, according to an estimate by the Chicago Fire Department.
