Lithium has acquired Klout, the pioneer in using big data to measure online expertise.
“With Klout, Lithium fully delivers on its vision of building a trusted online connection between consumers and the brands they care about,” said Rob Tarkoff, Lithium President and CEO.
“Joining Lithium is a proud moment for Klout,” said Joe Fernandez, Klout CEO.
Fernandez will join Lithium’s executive team, reporting directly to Tarkoff, and will continue to run the Klout operation as its General Manager and a Senior Vice President at Lithium.
Lithium did not disclose deal terms or any financial details.
Lithium Technologies provides social customer experience management software for the enterprise.Lithium was founded in 2001.
Klout is a website and mobile app that uses social media analytics to rank its users according to online social influence via the “Klout Score”, which is a numerical value between 1 and 100.
