Former South African President Nelson Mandela has died. Mandela was 95 years old.
South Africa’s President Jacob Zuma, who announced Mandela’s death, said, “We’ve lost our greatest son.”
U.S President Barack Obama praised Mandela as a man who “bent the arc of the moral universe toward justice.” And, he hailed Mandela as a leader who left his country with a legacy of freedom and peace with the world.

India Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh had said, “A giant among men has passed away. This is as much India’s loss as South Africa’s. He was a true Gandhian.”

Israel’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu said Mandela was “one of the most honorable figures of our time … a man of vision, a freedom fighter who rejected violence.”
