A Belgian reading association breaks the world record with longest book domino chain made of almost 5,000 books.
The record-breaking event, organised by the association Boek.be, was designed to celebrate books and promote reading.
A total of 4,845 books smoothly tumbled, following a pathway through the Antwerp book fair and spelling the Dutch words for “book,” “fair” and “read.”
At the end of the 614-metres-long trajectory, which took only six minutes to complete, the books set off fireworks to the great applause of onlookers.
Boek.be said it had taken forty volunteers two hours to painstakingly set up the lines of books.
Boek.be said they will register the record with the Guinness Book of Records.
