Facebook’s photo-sharing site Instagram has updated its privacy policy giving it the right to sell users’ photos to advertisers without notification.
Instagram has announced that it is updating its terms of service and privacy policy.The changes were will be effective on January 16, 2013.The photo-sharing site promised that photo ownership and viewership will not change.
“To help us deliver interesting paid or sponsored content or promotions, you agree that a business or other entity may pay us to display your username, likeness, photos (along with any associated metadata), and/or actions you take, in connection with paid or sponsored content or promotions, without any compensation to you”, Instagram said in a blog post.
Previously Instagram has announced that it would be separating itself from Twitter.
